Geogrid Plant
Overview
Geogrid plants are industrial systems used to manufacture geogrids—grid-like polymer structures designed for soil reinforcement and stabilization. Made primarily from HDPE, PP, or PET, geogrids are widely used in civil engineering, road construction, and infrastructure projects to improve load-bearing capacity and durability.
Working Principle
Polymer sheets (HDPE, PP, PET) are produced through extrusion.
Sheets are punched or perforated in a regular pattern.
Stretching (uniaxial or biaxial) aligns polymer molecules to form grid structures.
Cooling and stabilization ensure structural integrity.
Finished geogrids are wound or cut into rolls.
